Why are variant names showing in the wrong language?

Variant names like sizes and colours are extracted directly from the supplier's website. If the source page is in another language, the variants may appear in that language by default.

The fix is to set the language you want the listing written in:

Open your import options and go to the Localization tab.
Set Content language to your store's language.

Variant option names are translated along with the rest of the listing. If a stubborn page still slips through, add a rule to Extra instructions (Content tab, under Advanced) such as Translate all variant option names to English.

Setting AI quality to ✨ Quality under Advanced also tends to produce more accurate translations.
