Can I keep the supplier's original description instead of having AI rewrite it?

Yes. By default Product Upload rewrites descriptions with AI, for SEO and to avoid duplicate content. To keep the supplier's wording instead:

Shopify and Wix apps: Import options → Content tab → Description card → set it to Keep.
Web dashboard: Settings → Products → turn off Rewrite product descriptions with AI.

Keep mode copies the supplier's description across as written, with one deliberate exception: the seller's own contact details, company registration numbers and store policy blocks are stripped out, so you do not end up publishing another shop's address or returns terms on your own product page. Product specifications, compatibility notes and manufacturer warranty text are kept.

This is useful when the original description carries specifications, compatibility info or legal text you want preserved exactly. Title, tags and the other fields have their own Keep/Rewrite controls on the same tab, so you can still let AI write those while leaving the description alone.
