How do variant detection modes work?

Variant detection controls how hard the AI looks for every colour, size, and option on a page.

You'll find it under Advanced on the Content tab of your import options. It only appears once Import variants (if present) is ticked, so if you can't see the setting, check that first.

Balanced (default): reliable for most standard product pages.
Aggressive: prioritises finding the maximum number of variants and may include inferred options. Best for pages with complex or JavaScript-heavy variant pickers.

Pair Aggressive with AI quality set to ✨ Quality, on the same tab, for the toughest product pages.
